Internet Marketing Acronyms Explained
CB - often referred as Clickbank.com for short, the biggest software product marketplace, which
easy affiliate and vendor's administration.
CPA - Cost Per Action. CPA can refer to a lead, sale or click.
CPC - Cost Per Click. Used with banner or text link advertising
CPL - Cost Per Lead which could come from filling out a survey, form, joining a newsletter or a
forum, amongst others.
CPM - Cost Per 1,000 Impressions. Often used with banner advertising due to high volumn of
untargetted traffic involved.
CR - Conversion Rate. Can be defined as achieved targets divided by numbers of visitors
ERP - Earnings per 100 Clicks
EPM - Average Earning Per 1,000 impressions.
IM - Internet Marketing
PFP - Pay Per Performance (e.g. Affiliate Commissions)
PPA - Pay Per Action, same as Cost Per Action (CPA)
PPC - Pay Per Click
PPI - Pay Per Impression
PPL - Pay Per Lead
PPS - Pay Per Sale
PPV - Pay Per View, similar to PPI
ROI - Return On Investment
